Landscape architecture

Landscape architecture is a multi-disciplinary field, incorporating aspects of: botany,  the fine arts, architecture ecology ,horticulture. The job of a landscape architect can start from the creation of public parks , parkways to end in site planning residential estates, civil infrastructure . Also he can do the management of large wilderness areas such as mines or landfills. Landscape architects work on all types of objects and  space - large or small,  with built and  planted materials ,urban, suburban.

 The most valuable contribution can be made at the first stage of a project to generate ideas with technical understanding and creativity for the design, organization, and use of spaces. Landscape architecture involves the systematic investigation of existing social, ecological conditions that will produce the desired outcome. The  profession includes understanding of : urban design;  stormwater management;environmental restoration; parks and recreation planning;site planning; visual resource management; town or urban planning;  green infrastructure planning .

Other needs are skills in  conducting environmental assessments and audits, and serving as an expert witness at inquiries on land use issues.
